"I was a student at the Catholic Bible College in 2003. I used to commute everyday to the college except on Thursdays, where we had evening classes on team building and sexuality.

Being at the College has been one of the best experience I've had. I have learnt how to drash under Peshat, meaning digging more in what you read in the scriptures. Has helped me to make the Word of God relevant in my life today and in other people's life. Have grown to love the Word of God more and make time for it daily. I wouldn't exchange the year for anything."

"My 11 months at the Catholic Bible College was probably the most (personally) eventful time thus far. I learnt that our faith isn't just a religion, its a lifestyle!

Yes even though academically everything was in essence cathecatical in nature, the implicit lessons learned like community life, social tolerance and the challenge of being taken out of my comfort zone ensured that I became self reliant. It laid a solid foundation for my further studies in psychology. When I did my practical at a governmental hospital the issues my clients asked concerning God, death, life and what being human is all about, could be answered not just with scientific objectiveness (thanks to psychology) but, I could provide a comfort for them in their time of need that was more intimate (thanks to my understanding of spirituality and humanity that I experienced first hand at college).

Today there are still challenges that I welcome with open hands, simply because my college mates and lecturers at college challenged me! I can safely say that college moved me from being a Catholic by name, to being a Catholic by heart. In my line of work that would be progress from external religious orientation to being internally religiously oriented.

Being a volunteer pastoral counsellor for a while made me more than grateful for my time spent at College. The knowledge I have both Biblically and Spiritually allowed me to write a number of articles published in a community newspaper, the youth ministry skills are still being used when I have a request to help out at Ha Phororo, and the self discipline I learnt has seen me be accepted to postgraduate studies."

Thank You CBC!!!
