"It was in the year 2000 when Connie whom was a student at the beginning of the existence of the college, approached me about the college. I was very excited and interested and the following year I became a student through a sponsor and it was worthwhile. Most proceedings that I really enjoyed and took with me until this date, are Teaching and Learning, Yest, liturgy, Introduction to the Bible, Bible seminar, spirituality and Toastmaster.
One of the highlights of the college it was when we visited Sizanani (HIV/AIDS Center and disabled children) in Bronkonspruit. I was very emotional and from then I never thought any human being deserved to be in that kind of a situation, especially the babies.
The other highlight is the first time when I had to present a speech during the Toastmaster period, I was so shy and I chickened out at ran out of the class as I was trembling and felt like my heart was going to fall on the floor as it was pumping very fast, but then I gave my speech to Mrs. Livingstone afterwards she read it and thought it was excellent.
I must say it is with great appreciation that I have learned a lot about a community life in the sense that today I have self control, know how to share the word of God, respect other people’s religion and culture, and got to learn about different kind of personalities. And the other important is I’ve made friends and still communicate with them.
After battling with been in and out of different employment after finishing my studies at the college I was offered a job in 2007 and I have been working as a receptionist \Librarian and I really love what am doing and through the years I’ve been part of staff I have been given opportunities to study short courses at College Campus and now I have Diplomas in Office Admin, Book-keeping and Office Computing.
Through all these I still get to meet people and learn more from them. Out of all the experience I would like to thank the opportunity to help me to be the person I am today and I am confident to say Catholic Bible College has a lot to offer. I would also like to thank my fellow colleagues for the motivation they have given me." |

"What I have benefited from Catholic Bible College was that I learned more about my spirituality, my faith, my church and more about God.
I learned how to write and speak good English. How to present myself and behave in an appropriate manner. I have gained a lot of self-confidence and I'm able to speak publicly and make presentations in my work place.
I learned how to work with different people and how to communicate with them. As a nurse, I work with many people both as patients and as my colleagues. Some come to me not for physical comfort but also with spiritual problems, and with what I have learned from the college, I am able to help them.
Catholic Bible College was great and if I could get a chance again to study there, I would grab it with both hands. I have made lots of friends and I enjoyed the journey. I don't regret that year of my life - Thank you CBC" |
